Aventura

Through NORTHLATITUDE (C.A.C.E.N.) we introduce you for the first time and exclusively for the national and international sporting and adventure world of Argentine, a new way of learning and enjoying in the nature. The Multiadventure, devised by the Argentineans Mario “dog” Rodriguez, sporting expert and skydiving international instructor and Gabriel Esquivel, mountaineer and wilderness survival instructor, it consist of a practice of combined outdoors activities that include the Skydiving + wilderness Survival + Orienteering and Land Navigation + Trekking, that will take place in a wild natural environment.

A unique adventure that your will experience during three days living together with a group of persons in the wilderness, learning and enjoying from it.

ACTIVITIES DEVELOPMENT

Classroom

It begins with theoretical subjects to be run in classroom, where the participants will be introduced about general information with regards to the sporting disciplines of skydiving, orienteering and land navigation techniques, trekking and wilderness survival that will be carried out during the outdoor practice. The goal is to provide detailed information by means of visual supports, survival stuffs, orienteering and parachutes, about the activities to be made by air, land and water in the wilderness as well as to explain you the importance it would have in the reality to jump with your parachute from and aircraft declared after an emergency declared, to land back on earth and start surviving by taking advantage from the the nature.

Practice on the ground

To begin this phase, we all will meet first at a flying club located near of the area where the practice will take place. Once there, the participants will be given a briefing about the use of the parachute and the, will aboard an aircraft and will be connected to a skydiving instructor harness (tandem system). After taking off and ascending at an altitude of 3,000 mts. -9,843 feets.- for about 20 minutes of flight, you will jump with your Parachute by means of a free fall within the first 1,500 mts. -4,922 feets.- and a soft descent with open parachute the remaining 1,500 mts. -4.922 feets.- over a marked area on a natural land comprised by terrains of woodland and rivers. The objective is to simulate the abandonment of the airplane in emergency, situation at which you must jump and save yourself.

After landing back on the ground, an instructor will expect to guide you to start carrying out the Survival activities, by applying the essential techniques learned through the theory during three day on a wild and natural land comprised by forest, river and/or lagoons located away from the urban areas. There will also be carried out a woodland crossing during the practice applying basically instrumental, natural, diurnal and nocturnal methods of Orienteering and Land Navigation,  using magnetic compass and topographic maps (map reading) where the some Trekking techniques will also be taught aimed for flat plain and forest land.

At the end of the Multiadventure, the participants will be handed over its certificates on the ground to be guided later towards an urban area by means of a final woodland crossing, to invited to enjoy a deserved farewell barbeque (BBQ).

Objetive

That the participants learn how to jump in Parachute simulating they are under an emergency occurred in the air, to land back on a ground located near to a small lagoon and start Surviving in a wild and unknown natural place, depending only from a group of persons to work as a team and from the nature to apply First Aid proceedings, make Signaling (marking the area) in order the may be located from air, land and water by some Search and Rescue (SAR) teams, to build Shelters in the outdoor, find and make Water purification and find Food from wild source. Also, to make Fire with natural elements (primitive) and artificial ones, build Traps, Bows, Arrows and Spears, learn how to be Oriented by means of instruments like the magnetic compass and the topographic map, to be oriented by day and night with natural means, know some ways of moving on the ground, knowing distances and choosing the best way through a diurnal and nocturnal Crossing in the wilderness.
